AN OINK-INGLY CUTE TRIBUTE TO OUR ADORABLE DISNEY AND DISNEY•PIXAR PIGS
By Oh My Disney
Just in time for the Year of the Pig!
With the arrival of the Year of the Pig, it has got us thinking about all our favourite Disney and Disney•Pixar pigs. Not only are there more than we initially thought, they’re all so unique in their own ways. Here, we pay tribute to them and their one-of-a-kind personalities. Try to see how many you can name before you scroll down this list!
PUMBAA
He’s a sensitive soul! Surprisingly deep at times, too. Let’s not forget that one time he willingly set himself up as bait to serve as a distraction as Simba got down to business. With the live-action The Lion King coming up this year, we cannot wait to see this iconic warthog back on the big screen!
Watch Pumbaa in The Lion King, available on iTunes.
HAMM
He may play the villain in Andy’s make-believe sessions, but Hamm is one of those people pigs who is funny without even trying. Too many golden one-liners! We look forward to watching his return in Toy Story 4 along with the rest of the Toy Story gang.
Watch Hamm in Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3, available on iTunes.
PIGLET
Piglet is the sweetest. No, really. He may be pint-sized, but he’s got a big heart. He is generous, loyal, kind, braver than he realises and really just so, so cute. You just want to pick him up and squish him!
Watch Piglet in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Winnie the Pooh, available on iTunes.
MISS PIGGY
The only lady on our list and what a lady she is. With a level of sass only matched by the number of outfits in her massive wardrobe, and a string of collaborations with top celebrities and fashion magazines under her bedazzled belt, Miss Piggy is a pop cultural icon through and through.
Watch Miss Piggy in The Muppets and Muppets Most Wanted, available on iTunes.
PUA
This spotted pig may not have followed Moana on her journey to restore the heart of Te Fiti, but we’ll bet he would have been a trusty sidekick if he did. He’s basically a puppy!
Watch Pua in Moana, available on iTunes.
THREE LITTLE PIGS
Ah, Disney’s OG pigs who always triumph when going up against the Big Bad Wolf – all while singing some really great tunes. It is also from this Disney classic that we have the song “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?”!
ARCHIE THE SCARE PIG
That’s right – that squealing, orange furball that Sulley steals from Fear Tech is a pig! As pigs go, Archie is on the unconventional side with six legs and two horns, and if it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t have that awesome chase scene among the fraternity houses of Monsters University.
Watch Archie the Scare Pig in Monsters University, available on iTunes.
Wishing all a Happy Lunar New Year in this Year of the Pig!
